The Verkhovnaya Rada tax and customs policy commission has voted for the acceptance of the decree that imposes 0% duty on imported metal scrap.
In 2015 scrap deficiency for local metal companies totaled almost 1 million tons. Scrap import duty was on the level of 5%.
The goal of the decree is to eliminate this deficiency and provide scrap for defense industry. (Ukrainian metal)
