The state enterprise Ukrpromvneshexpertisa believes the UAH devaluation will have a negative effect on the local ferrous metals procurement.
“If the devaluation exists, scrap procurement levels will fall”, said the company marketing department director Yuri Dobrovolski.
At the same time exporters will be able to increase purchasing prices in UAH.
If the scrap export duty is increased to 35 euro per ton, exporters will have to decrease local prices to keep the dollar price on the current level, which can bring scrap flow to the metal works. (Ukrainian metal)
