In 2015 Donetsk region (without the anti-terrorists operation zone) industrial production decreased by 34.7% YoY.
Coal mining totaled 13.1 million tons, down by 13 million tons, or 2 times YoY. Coke output reached 5.3 million tons, down by 16.7% YoY.
Pig iron production decreased by 14.5%, to 8.6 million tons, that of steel – by 17.9%, to 8 million tons, with 7.2 million tons (or 89.7% of the total volume) being continuous casting billets. Rolled metal output decreased by 23.4% YoY, to 4.1 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
