The ISD Corporation ponders the registration of its Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works on the Ukraine-controlled territory.
“The matter of relocating Alchevsk Works is vital and will be discussed at the next shareholders meeting. Many Donbass companies have already reregistered there. The company is gradually increasing its output after a long break. Its export and import operations grow as well. We think it might be registered in Severodonetsk”, said ISD law department director Sergey Tkachenko.
The regional administration relocated to Severodonetsk at the end of 2014.
In January-November Alchevsk Iron and Steel Works produced 462 thousand tons of rolled metal, 506 thousand tons of steel and 520 thousand tons of pig iron, all down by 80%, 79.8% and 77.8% YoY respectively.
In November the works produced 161 thousand tons of pig iron, 167 thousand tons of steel and 154 thousand tons of rolled metal, up from October levels of 94 thousand tons, 103 thousand tons and 103 thousand tons respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
