In January-November Ukraine increased ferrous scrap exports by 40.4% or by 43% YoY (depending on the comparison base).
The exports went up to 1175.26 thousand tons (837.14 thousand tons in January-November 2014 according to the State Customs Service or 822.142 thousand tons, according to the State Statistics Service) worth $280.76 million, up by 5.8-7.9% ($265.44 million and $260.17 respectively).
At the same time ferrous scrap exports decreased by 91.8% YoY, to 2.28 thousand tons (27.88 thousand tons in January-November 2014) worth $2.39 million, up by 83.7% YoY. The main exporters of the ferrous scrap to Ukraine were Turkey (93.44%) and Moldova (3.68%), with them being the main importers as well (78.12% and 19.53% respectively). (Ukrainian metal)
