Metinvest has no plans for massive firing of employees at its companies.
“We strive to minimize the firing process. We carry out requalifications and remove side contractors where possible. So it would be unjust to say that our works have to prepare for mass firings”, said the company CEO Yuri Ryzhenkov.
According to him, it would be inexpedient to have some shops at the group’s companies with their current capacity of 20%. If such shops were closed, infrastructure and energy carriers’ expenses would decrease. Workers from such shops will be offered a requalification into repairmen and they would be used instead of side contractors. (Ukrainian metal)
