Ukraine: steel pipes output down in January-August 2015

In January-August Ukraine produced 568.2 thousand tons of steel pipes, down by 44.4% YoY.

In August pipe output reached 72.1 thousand tons from 68 thousand tons in July.

Khartsyzsk Pipe Works (Donetsk region), situated in the Anti-terrorist operation zone produced 66.3 thousand tons of pipes, down by 58.8% YoY. In July-August the works produced no pipes.

Interpipe NTZ produced 112.7 thousand tons of pipes in January-August (13.9 thousand tons in August), down by 49.1% YoY, Interpipe NMTZ – 60.3 thousand tons (12.4 thousand tons), down by 43.7%, while Interpipe Niko Tube produced 162.1 thousand tons (19.2 thousand tons), down by 44.4% YoY.

Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works dropped its pipes output by 14.4% YoY, to 34.4 thousand tons (5.2 thousand tons in August).

Lugansk Tube Plant was idle.

Kominmet pipe output fell by 18.5%, to 111.6 thousand tons (19.4 thousand tons in August), Centravis produced 12.7 thousand tons of stainless pipes (1.5 thousand pipes), down by 13% YoY.

In January-August AG Stal was idle, though last year it produced 20.7 thousand tons of pipes.

Finally, Dniepropetrovsk Tube Works dropped its pipes output by 82.8%, to 4.1 thousand tons, as it was idle in May-August. (Ukrainian metal)
