Beginning with July 2014, when Avdiivka Coke and Chemical Works was first time shelled, the works has been halted for 12 times.
“With each halt coke-oven batteries condition worsens due to temperature stresses. After each halt we lose a number of batteries, then repair them. If we can’t cope with it, the falling domino principle will come into effect: now we have three batteries out of order, tomorrow we will have four, the day after that – five”, said the company CEO Musa Magomedov.
