In January-June Ukrainian metal companies exported $4296.49 million worth of ferrous metals, down by 41.2% YoY ($7308.32 million).
According to the Customs statistics, ferrous metals accounted for 23.14% of the export revenues against 25.46% in January-June 2014.
In June ferrous metals exports brought Ukraine $689.09 million, with $727.31 million in May.
At the same time Ukrainian imports of ferrous metals fell by 51%, to $316.07 million YoY, with $62.83 million in June.
Metal wares exports decreased by 45.5%, to $499.4 million YoY. In June Ukraine exported $73.7 million worth of metal wares. Imports fell by 46.3%, to $227.98 million ($43.78 million in June).
In 2014 Ukrainian revenues from the ferrous metals exports went down by 9.7%, to $12929.06 million YoY (23.92% of the total exports as opposed to 22.63% in 2013). Imports fell by 41.7%, to $1299.99 million.
Metal wares exports in 2014 earned Ukraine $1706.87 million, down by 34.1% YoY, while imports fell by 30%, to $843.72 million. (Ukrainian metal)
