Makeevka to supply less rolled wire to domestic markets

In January the Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works Makeevka subsidiary plans to supply 35 thousand tons of rolled wire, down by 18% as compared with December 2013.

Due to the decrease in purchases during holidays rolled wire supplies to the domestic market will be decreased by 48%, to 16 thousand tons.

Some of the output was exported. Supplies to foreign markets are expected to increase by 60%, to 19 thousand tons.

In January no rolled wire is scheduled for export to Russian, while in December 2013 the company supplied 5-6 thousand tons to the Russian market.

The works plans to sell 72 thousand tons of rolled wire (same as in December 2013), 10 thousand tons of angles (+73%) and 3 thousand tons of rounds (+75%).

In 2013 the Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works Makeevka subsidiary produced 1.5 million tons of rolled metal, up by 2% to the results of 2012, including 630 thousand tons of rolled wire (on the level of 2012). (Ukrainian metal)
