In December Ukraine’s crude steel production is expected to increase by 4.6% compared to October to 2.740 million tons.
In December pig iron output in Ukraine will total 2.540 million tons, up by 6% compared to the October results, while Ukrainian production of rolled steel is expected to total 2.480 million tons, up by 4.1% compared to October.
In December domestic steelmakers will need 610,000 tons of sintering ore, 1.6 million tons of concentrate, 440,000 tons of agglomerate, 730,000 tons of pellets, 945,000 tons of limestone, 1.23 million tons of metallurgical coke and 430,000 tons of steel scrap in order to ensure the planned volumes of production in the given month.
In November Ukrainian companies plan to produce 2.560 million tons of crude steel, 2.360 million tons of pig iron and 2.310 million tons of rolled steel. (Ukrainian metal)
