It is reported that in 2010 Ukraine’s semi-finished steel product exports saw a slight decrease of 0.8% YoY amounting to 11.404 million tons valued at about $5.426 billion, while its imports of semi-finished steel products increased by 91% YoY to 472,580 tons valued at $285 million.
In December 2010 Ukraine’s semi-finished steel product exports decreased by 22.2% MoM and by 10.6% YoY to about 816,600 tons valued at $426.77 million, down by 25.7% MoM.
Ukraine’s main semi-finished steel product export destinations in December 2010 were Italy (188,830 tons), Lebanon (91,300 tons), Turkey (80,290 tons), Romania (65,590 tons), Egypt (61,500 tons) and Indonesia (50,400 tons). Meanwhile, in December 2010 Ukraine’s semi-finished steel product imports saw a 7.3% decrease MoM, but a 161% increase YoY to 43,280 tons. Of this volume, 38,920 tons came from Russia, 4,110 tons from Belarus and 180 tons were imported from Germany. (SteelOrbis)
