According to the data for the first seven months of 2010, Ukraine’s exports of steel pipes decreased by 16.9% YoY to 651,910 tons, while its semi-finished steel product exports went up by 1% YoY to about 7.016 million tons.
Meanwhile, in January to July the country’s exports of flat rolled steel increased by 15.6% to about 3.858 million tons and its exports of long steel went up by 23% to 3.319 million tons both compared to the same period of last year.
In addition, during the period in question, Ukraine registered an 11.2% increase in its pig iron exports to 866,300 tons, a 56.4% rise in its coke exports to 760,300 tons, a 42% growth in its iron ore exports to 18.591 million tons and a 22.1% increase in its scrap exports to 429,670 tons all compared to January-July 2009.
