It is reported that growth of consumption for flat steel in Ukrainian local market was traditionally provided by steel constructions manufacturers and vehicle manufacturers. It is worth to notice realization of renovation program for buses and trolleybuses for Euro-2012 for UAH 996.14 million. Railcar manufacturers also considerably contribute to steel consumption.
Experts expect a shortage of cargo railway cars followed by a growth of railway cargo transportation. The park of Ukrzaliznytsia will be replenished by 291 railcars of Darnitsa and Striy Railcar Repair Factories manufactures as well as of Ukrspetsvagon and by the end of the year it plans to purchase 704 railcars more. Moreover, Lviv Locomotive Repair Factory has got a package of orders for UAH 240 million till the end of 2010.
Moreover, in July Ukraine imported 23037 tons of hot-rolled sheets and 11905 tons of cold-rolled sheets, up by 54.7% and 6.3% correspondingly as compared to June and up by 9.6% and 67.1% from the July 2009 level. (Ugmk.info)
