It is reported that the reduction of ferrous scrap export from Ukraine in February 2010 is 23.2% in comparison to February 2009, to 13.71 thousand tons. The revenue from overseas shipment drops by 41% to $4.47 million.
In two months period of 2010 compared to that of 2009 ferrous scrap export increased by 36.5% and amounted to 43590 tons for $12.04 million. In January 2010 compared to December 2009 export of ferrous scrap dropped by 50.3% to 29880 tons. Comparison of 2009 to 2008 shows increase by 40.2% to 883280 tons for $203.73 million.
