Ukraine to keep November steel output at October level

According to Mr. Sergey Grishchenko, Ukrainian deputy minister of industrial policy, Ukraine expects in November this year to maintain its output of crude steel at the October level.
Mr. Grishchenko said over the first 23 days of October Ukraine average daily crude steel output reached 90,000 tons. He said that “Thus, we can already say that in October the figures will be 10% to 15% higher than in September. Proceeding from the volume of orders that our steelmakers have declared, we can say that in November crude steel production will be at least at the October level.”
He added that the Ukrainian steel producers have orders for up to the middle of December.
The Ukrainian government improved its 2009 steel output forecast to 29.9 million tons. (SteelOrbis)
