In January-July Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works produced 1.568 million tons of rolled metal, up by 5.7% YoY.
Steel output increased by 4.3%, to 1.76 million tons, pig iron – by 2.4%, to 2.262 million tons.
In July the company produced 242 thousand tons of rolled metal, 272 thousand tons of steel and 400 thousand tons of pig iron, all up from 220 thousand tons, 258 thousand tons and 362 thousand tons in June respectively.
According to the company CEO Yuri Zinchenko, in July the blast furnace shop made an output record producing 14.239 thousand tons of pig iron in one day, up by 918.9 tons from the average. (Ukrainian metal)
