In January-July Ukraine imported 9.457 million tons of coal valued at $1.472 billion, up by 5.1% and by 85.9% YoY respectively, including $213.64 million in July.

According to the State Fiscal Service, Russia supplied $762.006 million worth of coal (51.76%), USA – $378.469 million (25.71%), Canada – $116.185 million (7.89%) and other countries – $215.491 million (14.64%).

At the same time Ukraine exported 351.947 thousand tons of coal valued at $58.169 million.

Russia received $30.945 million worth of coal, Slovakia – $22.038 million, Turkey – $2.566 million, and other countries – $2.619 million.

In 2011 Ukraine imported $2.76 billion worth of coal, in 2012 – $2.637 billion, in 2013 – $1.973 billion, in 2014 – 1.773 billion, in 2015 – 1.632 billion and in 2016 – 1.467 billion.

At the same time in 2011 Ukraine exported $775.109 million worth of coal, in 2012 – $609.392 million, in 2013 – $737,009 million, in 2014 – $521.017 million, in 2015 – $53.651 million and in 2016 – $44.762 million. (Ukrainian metal)
