The prolongation of the 30 euro per ton export duty on scrap for 1 year is good for economy.
According to the president of Ukrmetallurgprom Alexander Kalenkov, 1 ton of scrap processed into metal yields 5-6 times more to the budget than that ton exported.
“Each ton of scrap not exported but turned into metal will pay taxes to the budget and keep jobs”, he said. (Ukrainian metal)
