In January-July Irkutsk region yielded 11395 kg of gold, including 6543 kg of ore gold and 4852 kg of alluvial gold.
Ore gold output decreased by 3% YoY, while that of alluvial rose by 2%.
At present 3 companies mine for ore gold in the region. Pervenets, a part of Polyus, mined 3652 kg of gold, followed by Vysochaishy with 2397 kg of gold and Druza LLC with 493 kg.
Lenzoloto and Vitim are the leaders in alluvial gold segment. In January-July they obtained 1984 and 1572 kg of gold respectively.
According to the regional Ministry of nature, the annual gold output target is 21442 kg, including 11313 kg of ore gold and 10129 kg of alluvial gold.
In 2016 the region yielded 22771 kg of gold, with 11407.81 kg being ore gold and 11363.61 kg alluvial. (Ukrainian metal)
