In June Russia produced 5.341 million tons of steel, down by 8% YoY. In 6 months steel output totaled 35.34 million tons, up by 0.8% YoY.

Ukraine decreased steel output by 13% YoY in June, to 1.593 million tons (1.69 million tons in May). In January-June Ukraine produced 10.504 million tons of steel, down by 15.4% YoY.

Kazakhstan produced 410 thousand tons of steel in June, down by 11.7% YoY (420 thousand tons in May). In 6 months steel output increased by 10.6% YoY, to 2.27 million tons.

Belarus decreased steel output in June by 5.5% YoY, to 205 thousand tons (210 thousand tons in May). In January-June steel output went up by 6.4% YoY, to 1.133 million tons.

Uzbekistan produced 60 thousand tons of steel in June, down by 3.2% YoY (60 thousand tons in May). In 6 months steel manufacture dropped by 3.2%, to 331 thousand tons.

Moldova steel output was 30 thousand tons in June, up by 20% YoY. In January-June steel output increased by 129.1% YoY, to 126 thousand tons.

All in all in June CIS countries produced 7.639 million tons of steel, down by 8% YoY (8.395 million tons in May), with 49.704 million tons produced in January-June, down by 2.5% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
