In June Russia produced 4.55 million tons of pig iron, down by 7.7% YoY (5.095 million tons in May). In January-June pig iron output decreased by 1.7% YoY, to 30.186 million tons.
Ukrainian pig iron output in June totaled 1.52 million tons, down by 13.9% YoY (1.61 million tons in May), with 9.658 million tons produced in 6 months, down by 19.2% YoY.
Kazakhstan in June produced 340 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 11.5% YoY (305 thousand tons in May), and in January-June output increased by 31.2% YoY, to 1.912 million tons.
All in all in June the CIS countries produced 6.41 million tons of pig iron, down by 8.1% YoY (7.055 million tons in May), as well as 41.756 million tons in 6 months, down by 5.4% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
