Severstal-Metiz has put a new rope machine into operation at its Cherepovets site.
Investments into the project totaled 90 million rubles.
Machinery will be used to produce 6-thread ropes with the diameter of 14-34 mm. Such ropes are used at cranes, drilling and oil machines, river and sea vessels, etc.
“The new machine will allow us to increase the output of calf lines and other rope types. As the equipment is high-duty, we will get products of better quality, meeting the growing demands of the market”, the company CEI Sergey Kovryakov said. (Ukrainian metal)
