Chelyabinsk Zinc Works has started constructing the leaching department of its hydrometallurgical shop.
The preliminary stage ended in mid-July: the concrete surface of the future construction site has been disassembled.
“The decision to start constructing the department was taken under the program to increase capacity to 200 thousand tons of zinc per year. After the rotary kiln No. 6 was put into operation, our capacity grew 1.7-fold,” the company CEO Pavel Izbrecht said.
The new object will be put into operation in September 2018. Investments in the project total 820 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
