Metalloinvest has put the new hot-briquetted iron complex (HBI-3) into operation at the Lebedinsky Mining and processing Works.
Investments totaled $660 million.
The HBI-3 capacity is 1.8 million tons per year. When the complex reaches its project capacity, the GOK will be able to produce 4.5 million tons of HBI per year. (Ukrainian metal)
