In 2006-2016 ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih spent 4.7 billion UAH on environment protection projects.
In 2016 the company spent 472.7 million UAH, including on reconstruction and construction of 35 gas-purifying machines in the sintering shop No. 2, blast furnace shop No. 2, converter shop, refractory-lime shop, grinding factory, etc. Last year the company paid 193.7 million UAH of environment tax, and 110.9 million UAH in H1 2017.
AMKR was able to decrease emissions and pollution by 16.5% by 2015 as compared with 2010. By 2020 the company intends to have decreased emissions by 25%. (Ukrainian metal)
