The Belarus Iron and Steel Works exported goods worth more than $465.3 million in H1 2017, up by 37.2% YoY, BMZ Deputy Director General Andrei Kulakovsky declared.

Russia and European countries account for the lion’s share of exports (75.7%). The top importers are Germany, Netherlands, Israel, and Lithuania. Andrei Kulakovsky noted that the company had a solid market share and also actively promoted its products to new markets.

In H1 2017 the BMZ exported goods to 47 countries. The list of new and promising markets includes 17 countries: Israel, Republic of Korea, Norway, Serbia, Iceland, Mexico, Ecuador, Macedonia, Singapore, Japan, Senegal, Mauritania, Jordan, Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Turkey, and Switzerland.

In January-June BMZ shipped 947,900 tons of goods abroad. According to Andrei Kulakovsky, in January-June BMZ reported Br990.3 million worth of output. The company produced 1.153 million tons of steel and 1.099 million tons of rolled products. Currently, the order intake is several months long, all products are shipped promptly. The warehouse stocks are minimal, just 5.7% of the average monthly output, Andrei Kulakovsky said. (BelTA/Ukrainian metal)
