By August Ukrzaliznytsia intends to have shipped all its scrap sold at three auctions in early June.
“The loading is underway. We expect to receive all the volumes this month”, Interpipe finances and economy director Denis Morozov said.
According to him ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, Metinvest-Resource and Interpipe NTZ have already received some 30-50% of the scrap purchased. The shipping is carried out according to the schedule.
“We are satisfied with Ukrzaliznytsia operation. This is a good example of positive changes in the company”, Morozov added.
Interpipe hopes that Ukrzaliznytsia continues selling its scrap.
“The company has some 300 thousand tons of scrap. If this volume comes to the market, it will improve the provision of metal works with raw materials”, Morozov said. (Ukrainian metal)
