Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works can decrease output because of the shortage of raw materials.

“We still intend to increase output, but often it seems, that this is only our wish – out of 23-25 cargo trains through the Kamysh-Zarya route twice-promised by Wojciech Balczun, we in fact had 16 a day on May 27 – June 15”, the company CEO Yuri Zinchenko wrote on his Facebook page.

In order not to decrease output and not to lose traditional sales markets Mariupol Ilyich is looking for all the possible ways to bring raw materials to the city, and one of them is by short sea traffic from the port of Yuzhniy.

As Ukrainian flag vessels are few, the company has to freight foreign vessels. (Ukrainian metal)
