The Volgograd subsidiary of Redaelli SSM (Severstal-Metiz) has put into operation a new rope-making machine. Investments in the project totaled 300 million rubles.
The machine can produce 6- and 8-therad ropes with the diameter of 28-100 mm. Such steel ropes are used in mines and on excavators.
The capacity of the machine is 40 meters per minute. Its length is 70 meters.
“The new rope machine marks the end of the first stage of the special ropes development project begun in July 2015”, the company CEO Vyacheslav Shiryaevsky noted. (Ukrainian metal)
