In 2017-2026 the Kazakhmys Corporation intends to mine over 300 million tons of ore and produce 2.6 million tons of copper cathodes.
“We mine over 29 million tons of ore per year and produce 1 million tons of concentrate, 226 thousand tons of cathodes, 3616 kg of gold and 251 tons of silver. And these are not the final figures. We intend to grow”, the corporation managing board general director Bakhtiyar Krykpyshev said.
By 2021 the corporation will have invested $580 million in development.
In 2016 Kazakhmys produced 225.657 thousand tons of copper cathodes, having processed 29.8 million tons of ore. This year it plans to produce 232.6 thousand tons of cathodes. (Ukrainian metal)
