In January-March Metalloinvest produced 10.07 million tons of iron ore, up by 0.4% YoY.
Pellets output increased by 0.2%, to 5.98 million tons, hot-briquetted iron production dropped by 0.6% YoY, to 1.47 million tons.
Pig iron manufacture decreased by 14.6% YoY, to 0.64 million tons, steel – went up by 12.6%, to 1.23 million tons.
Iron ore exports in Q1 totaled 2.79 million tons, down by 1.4% YoY, pellets – 3.24 million tons, up by 4.6%, HBI – 0.6 million tons, down by 9.6%.
Local sales decreased to 53% from 57% in Q1 2016, because of the exports increase.
Steel exports reached 1.1 million tons, up by 13.7% YoY, pig iron – 0.47 million tons, down by 17.9%. (Ukrainian metal)
