Evraz Sukhaya Balka administration decided to suspend operation of its mines in order not to endanger its employees.
Earlier some 300 miners from Yubileynaya and named after Frunze mines refused to return to the surface demanding the increase of the wages.
“The strike threatens the operation of the enterprise, people could get hurt”, the administration explained. “That’s why we decided to suspend all the types of operation except for the most necessary”.
The administration met with the strikers and promised to recalculate the salary. Negotiations are going on. (Ukrainian metal)
