Lysva Iron and Steel Works has confirmed its decision to temporarily halt the investment project.

In 2014 the company started the project on the construction of the sheet-rolling complex consisting of two stages. The first part of the first stage saw the assembly of the Printech coating line with the capacity of 110 thousand tons per year in the polymer coating shop. The second part envisioned the construction of the cold-rolling shop with the capacity of 820 thousand tons at the end of 2016. The cost of the whole first stage was estimated at 13 billion rubles.

The second stage presupposed putting into operation the second rolling shop by 2020. But the realization of the project was stopped because of the tough economic conditions. The second part of the first stage has been halted. (Ukrainian metal)
