A new long face has been put into operation at a state enterprise Selidovugol mine.
“The reserves of the long face are some 365 thousand tons of coal, that’s enough for a year for 2100 employees”, the Donetsk regional state administration chairman Pavel Zhebrivsky wrote on his Facebook page.
The mine with the historical name Kotlyarevskaya supplies coal to the Uglegorsk thermal power plant.
The mine also has a site with 20 million tons of coal. But, according to Zhebrivsky, the previous state authorities allowed this site to be privatized.
“Now they don’t work and don’t allow the mine to develop. While the reserves would be enough for 15-20 years”, he added. (Ukrainian metal)
