Severstal has started producing the DP600 dual phase ferrite-martensite pickled hot-rolled steel with increased strength.
This steel is used in the manufacture of wheel disks and automobile parts.
The new steel grade is manufactured at the 2000 mill in the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works sheet shop.
“DP600 steel grade will allow us to increase supplies to car-manufacturers and open new sales markets”, Severstal Russian Steel CEO Vadim Germanov said. (Ukrainian metal)
