In 2016 Mechel received 276 billion rubles of revenue, with EBITDA at 66.2 billion rubles and net profit of 7.1 billion rubles.

“Steel and raw materials markets last year had a lot of surprises. The year started with the steel price increase, then the coal market revived, and by December 2016 coal prices reached their historical maximums”, the company CEO Oleg Korzhov said.

As the result of stable output and sales volumes, the group demonstrated increase in all of its financial indexes. Revenues increased by 9% YoY, EBITDA – by 45%. And for the first time since 2011 Mechel received net profit (7.1 billion rubles). (Ukrainian metal)
