In March Ukrainian metal companies received 265 thousand tons of scrap, up by 45 thousand tons MoM, and 85% of their total needs.

In March their scrap stocks decreased by 10 thousand tons, to 95 thousand tons. As of January 1, their stocks totaled 190 thousand tons.

In Q1 metal companies received 715 thousand tons of scrap, up by 18% YoY, and 78% of the need, while exports totaled 39 thousand tons as opposed to 12 thousand tons in Q1 2016. In March Ukraine exported 21 thousand tons of scrap.

Imports saw 9 thousand tons of scrap as well as 1 thousand tons of hot-briquetted iron. (Ukrainian metal)
