Within the large-scale program of the Chelyabinsk Zinc Works reconstruction, the zinc electrolysis shop put into operation a new anode leveler. The cost of the new machinery is 1.2 million euro.

The new machine is used to clean and level anodes every 20-40 days, as the cleaner and straighter the anode surface is, the better is the end product. ChTsZ produces Special High Grade zinc of 99.995%.

The weight of one lead-silver anode is 275 kg, its size – 3.9 square meters.

“The old machine could level 400 anodes a day, the new one – twice as many – 830 anodes. We can now clean our whole anode park (16524 pieces) in 20 days”, the shop director Denis Chemeryazev said. (Ukrainian metal)
