The ChTPZ group has made a trial delivery of large diameter pipes (LDP) to Africa.
The company has supplied over 2 thousand meters of LDP for the Ain Sukhna Product Hub liquefied gas transportation and storing project in Egypt.
The pipes with the diameter of 711.2 mm and the wall thickness of 12.7 mm made of Gr B strength steel have been produced according to API 5L standard.
“We used to supply only seamless pipes to Africa. Now that we have entered the LDP market we can show the local customers all the opportunities of ours”, ChTPZ commercial director Denis Prikhodko said.
In 2016 ChTPZ exported 263 thousand tons of pipes, up by 31% YoY. In 2017 the group intends to increase exports, in particular to MENA markets. (Ukrainian metal)
