In January-February Ukraine imported 184.376 thousand tons of manganese ore and concentrate valued at $28.457 million, up by 69.6% and 2.2-fold YoY respectively.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the South African Republic (61.36%), Ghana (35.1%) and Gabon (2.37%) were the main suppliers.

At the same time Ukraine has sharply decreased manganese ore and concentrate export and re-export – to 130 tons valued at $38 thousand, down by 97.4% and by 83.7% YoY respectively. The only consumer was Poland.

In 2016 Ukraine imported 957.147 thousand tons of manganese ore and concentrate valued at $132 million, down by 24.7% and by 29.7% YoY respectively. Exports dropped by 45.2%, to 61.03 thousand tons at $2.814 million, down by 75.2%. (Ukrainian metal)
