The Zhitomir District Administrative Court has cancelled the order of the Korosten regional state administration chairman on the approving of the detailed plan of territory for the mining and processing works at the Stermigorod apatite-ilmenite deposits.
In October 2013, the administration chairman granted Valki-Ilmenit the right to develop the detailed plan of the territory.
In May 2015 the administration approved of the plan.
Last year the prosecutors addressed the court asking to cancel the order, as it did not take into account the construction plans of 1982, moreover the site for the mining works overlapped the agricultural grounds, and the change of their usage was prohibited by the moratorium. And the plan could not be approved without the public hearing involving citizens from the nearby settlements.
Based on the last claim the court voided the order. (Ukrainian metal)
