In 2017 Russian Railroads expect the delivery of 1 million tons of rails.
All the products are purchased from Russian manufacturers.
Evraz is planned to supply up to 700 thousand tons of rails, and Mechel – 330 thousand tons.
Rails are used by RZhD for new construction as well as for repairs.
In 2016 Russian Railroads purchased 947.7 thousand tons of rails, with 677.8 thousand tons from Evraz and 269.9 thousand tons from Mechel. (Ukrainian metal)
