Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works, a part of Severstal, produced the 250-millionth ton of coke.
The first coke was produced in 1956.
The CherMK coke division operates 8 coking batteries, which yield some 4.5 million tons per year and employ 1180 people.
This year the company began one of its largest investment projects – the reconstruction of the coking battery No. 4, valued at 6 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
