In January-September Donetsk Iron and Steel Works produced 635 thousand tons of steel, up by 49.1% YoY.
In September pig iron output totaled 97 thousand tons, down from 105 thousand tons in August.
Because the open-hearth manufacture was shut down in April 2012, the works is not producing steel.
In January-September 2015 DMZ was mostly idle, producing only 426 thousand tons of pig iron.
On October 11, the blast furnace No. 2 was stopped for capital repairs, while the idle BF1 was put into operation on October 15. (Ukrainian metal)
