In January-September Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works produced 3223.5 million kWt-h of electricity, having hit a record and up by 4.8% YoY.
“The increase in electricity generation allowed the company to raise the share of its own electricity in the total consumption to 76.4%, up by 5.1% YoY. This allowed us to save some 159 million rubles”, Severstal Russian Steel division CEO Vadim Germanov said. (Ukrainian metal)
