For the past three years Ferrexpo has decreased its pellets supplies to China from 25% to 13%.

“We started with 25% sales to China, but once we improved the quality of our pellets, we started selling more to the Western Europe and the North-Eastern Asia”, the investors and communications director Ingrid McMahon reported.

According to her, European, Korean and Japanese customers pay more for pellets, while 65% Fe content pellets prices in China are too volatile. So it is 62% Fe content pellets that the company sells to China and Turkey.

Ferrexpo supplies most of its products to Central and Eastern Europe (48%) and Western Europe (17%). Japan and South Korea account for 16%, while Turkey and the Near East – 6%. (Ukrainian metal)
