A couple of days ago the Novokonstantinovskaya mine (Kirovograd region) yielded 1-millionth ton of uranium ore.
The head of the regional council Alexander Chernoivanenko noted the great contribution of the mine to the social-economic development of the region. He believes that both the Ministry of energy and coal industry and regional authorities have to concentrate on this ore field. (Ukrainian metal)
