The head of the Donetsk region Pavel Zhebrivsky together with the people’s deputy Sergey Sazhko and the local authorities visited Krasnogorovka Refractory Works. The company has been idle for 2 years. Now it plans to start operating and employ some 500 people.
“The works ceased operating because of the active military activities and the absence of gas, as the gas pipelines were damaged”, said the Krasnogorovka military-civilian administration head Oleg Livanchuk.
The works is prepared to partially resume operation. There is a demand for its products.
“For example, while the works was idle, our former clients had to buy refractory bricks for blast furnaces in China. But Chinese bricks could stand only 3 smeltings, while ours can withstand 10, and the price is identical”, explained Livanchuk. All the company needs now is gas. (Ukrainian metal)
