Zaporizhstal successfully delivers metal to its clients through the Zaporozhye river port, decreasing transportation time and logistics expenses.

According to the sales director Vladimir Kolomiets, the works saves $2-4 per ton when shipping by river as compared with railroad delivery. The company also decreases its transportation expenses, by bringing metal to the port by automobiles, instead of railroad.

Railroad transportation of Zaporizhstal products to the port of Odessa costs $15 per ton, while Dnieper delivery is 15% cheaper. And while Chinese products are delivered in 60-90 days to the Black Sea area, Zaporizhstal can deliver in 20 days. Thus the works decreases logistics expenses and increases its metal competitiveness on European markets. (Ukrainian metal)
